The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, across the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps in the country.
According to the scheme, camp registration for all Prospective Corps Members will begin on Wednesday, January 21, and end at midnight on Friday, January 23, 2026.
The Swearing-In Ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, January 23, 2026, marking the formal induction of the corps members into national service, while the Closing Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged all Prospective Corps Members to travel safely to their various states of deployment, stressing the importance of personal safety.
He particularly advised corps members not to embark on night journeys, warning that unnecessary risks should be avoided during transit to orientation camps.
