Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kogi State Investment and Property Limited (KIPL), Hon. Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke (AIA), has formally resigned her membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the need to realign her political convictions and refocus her grassroots engagement.

Dr. Adoke submitted her resignation letter to the APC Ward Chairman in Nagazi Ward, Adavi Local Government Area, bringing to an end her long-standing association with the ruling party in the state.
Her decision, according to political observers, is part of an ongoing wave of political regrouping ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In her resignation letter, Dr. Adoke explained that the move was made after wide consultations with her constituents, political associates, family members, and friends.

“My decision is taken in good faith after due consultation with the good people of my constituency, associates, respected family members and friends,” she wrote. “I believe it is time to align with my convictions and current political realities, and to redirect my strategic focus to be more purposeful, especially at the grassroots.”

Dr. Adoke served for over seven years as Managing Director of Kogi State Investment and Property Limited, where her tenure was widely described as impactful and purpose-driven. Under the APC-led administration, she earned a reputation as a dependable grassroots mobiliser and a strong advocate of democratic participation.

She expressed appreciation to the party leadership at all levels for the opportunity to serve.
“I am grateful to the leadership of the party at the Ward, State and National levels for the period of my membership and wish the party success in its mission,” the letter concluded.

Political analysts say her resignation signals a strategic repositioning as she prepares for future political engagements focused on grassroots development and service to the people of Kogi State.

With strong grassroots support and a record of administrative leadership, Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke remains a key political figure whose next move is likely to attract significant attention in the state’s political landscape.
