The House of Representatives hopeful for Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, Aisha Ibrahim Adoke, has extended warm greetings to constituents observing both the holy month of Ramadan and the Christian season of fasting, urging residents to embrace the shared values of faith, sacrifice, and unity.
In her goodwill message to the people of Adavi and Okehi, Dr. Adoke congratulated Muslim faithful on the commencement of Ramadan while also acknowledging Christian brothers and sisters observing periods of fasting and prayer, including the Lenten season.
“Ramadan Mubarak and God’s abundant grace to all our Christian faithful in this season of reflection,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of spiritual devotion across faiths. Quoting Qur’an 2:183, she reminded Muslim faithful of Allah’s injunction on fasting as a path toward righteousness, while noting that Christian fasting similarly represents a time of sacrifice, repentance, and renewed commitment to God.
Dr. Adoke highlighted that both sacred periods call for love, compassion, charity, and peaceful coexistence. She encouraged constituents to use the season to strengthen their relationship with God and promote harmony within families and communities.
She further prayed that the fasting, prayers, and acts of devotion offered during this period would be accepted by God Almighty, and that the people of Adavi/Okehi would emerge spiritually uplifted and united in purpose.
