Support groups across Adavi and Okehi Local Government Areas have thrown their weight behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its Adavi /Okehi prospective House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke (AIA), ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At a historic town hall meeting held at Tafari Hotels Conference Hall in Nagazi Adavi, Kogi State, the groups called on the ADC to present a transformative candidate for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, while expressing confidence in Hon. Dr Aisha Ibrahim Adoke – AIA capacity to reposition and industrialise the constituency based on her track record as former MD /CEO Kogi Investment and Property Limited.

The gathering, organised by Adavi/Okehi Federal Consistuency Women and Youth Support Groups, theme : Fix Adavi/Okehi Federal Consistuency for Today and Tomorrow, The Future Bold Steps, drew stakeholders, community leaders, youths, and women groups who pledged massive grassroots mobilisation to ensure victory for the ADC in 2027.
Stating that Adavi /Okehi Federal Constituency Constituency “Deserves Better”

Speakers at the event lamented years of infrastructural deficit, rising youth unemployment, and limited access to quality education and healthcare services in the constituency. They stressed that a new direction anchored on competence and grassroots connection had become imperative.

According to the coordinators, Adoke’s agenda focuses on infrastructural renewal, youth and women empowerment, improved healthcare and education delivery, economic growth, and inclusive representation.
“We are convinced that under the ADC platform, Aisha Ibrahim Adoke will provide purposeful leadership and ensure effective representation for our people,” the groups declared, assuring residents of sustained engagement across wards and communities.

In her acceptance speech themed “Fixing Adavi/Okehi for Today and Tomorrow: The Future—Bold Steps,” Adoke expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to deliver transformative leadership.
“My people of Adavi and Okehi Federal Constituency, we are gathered because we share a common concern and a common hope—the future of our constituency,” she said.
Adoke noted that bridging the infrastructure gap in Adavi/Okehi requires tested and result-oriented leadership.
She cited her tenure as Managing Director of Kogi State Investment and Property Limited as evidence of her administrative competence.
“During my tenure, the agency experienced visible transformation—true development, sustained growth, and measurable progress.
“I did not merely make promises—I delivered outcomes,” she stated.
Hon. Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke AIA pledged to replicate the same results-driven leadership at the National Assembly if elected.
Her key priorities include:
Closing infrastructure gaps across communities,
Creating sustainable economic opportunities
Empowering women and youths,
Ensuring meaningful federal presence in every ward.
Adoke further promised to industrialise the constituency and build a sustainable economic base anchored on wealth creation and community development.
“Our message is simple and purposeful: “Creating Wealth and Building Communities,” she declared to loud applause.

Speaking with journalists after the event, Johnson Joseph Uchenyo, President of FOAN for Good Governance (FOAN), alongside other leaders including Austin, Ishaq, and Women Leader Mrs. Blessing Orumah, described the town hall as a landmark engagement.
Uchenyo said the meeting was designed to deepen grassroots connection and foster inclusive representation.
“We firmly believe that without the people, there can be no AIA. The strength of any leadership rests on the trust and active participation of the people,” he said.
He urged constituents to rally behind “their own daughter,” describing Adoke as “tested and trusted,” with a proven record of competence and dedication.
“The theme of this meeting underscores the urgency of purposeful leadership and bold steps for sustainable growth.
Hon. Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke has answered the call to serve, and we are confident she will exceed expectations if given the opportunity,” he added.
As political activities gradually gather pace ahead of 2027, the endorsement marks what analysts describe as a significant early boost for the ADC in Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency.
