The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, hope, and collective responsibility as Christians across the country mark the Easter celebration.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Minister extended warm greetings to Christian faithful, describing Easter as a sacred season that reflects the enduring values of sacrifice, renewal, and the victory of light over darkness.
Umahi emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains a strong symbol of faith, hope, and new beginnings, particularly in times of national challenges. He noted that these values are crucial at this stage of Nigeria’s development.
“At this point in our national journey, these values matter deeply,” he said, urging citizens to choose unity over division, love over apathy, and faith over fear.
The Minister further encouraged Nigerians to remain resilient, support one another, and work collectively toward building a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous nation.
He concluded by wishing Christians a joyful Easter celebration and prayed that the season would bring renewed strength, peace, and a brighter future for the country.
