….“True celebration is measured not by what we receive, but by what we give” — Ikudomi Muhammad Olanrewaju.
In a remarkable display of compassion and humanitarian service, the MD Foundation for Charity and National Integration on Tuesday carried out a major food distribution outreach to support needy families as part of the birthday celebration of its Founder and Executive Director, Ikudomi Muhammad Olanrewaju, popularly known as MD.
Rather than marking his birthday with personal luxury or elaborate festivities, the philanthropist chose to dedicate the occasion to serving vulnerable members of the community through the foundation’s annual outreach programme.
Speaking during the initiative, Olanrewaju said birthdays should represent moments of reflection, responsibility, and renewed commitment to humanity.
According to him, every new chapter of life should begin with an act of giving, stressing that the outreach was designed to provide relief and restore hope to struggling families facing economic hardship and food insecurity.
The food distribution exercise, organized under the banner of the MD Foundation for Charity and National Integration, provided essential food items to numerous households, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service, community empowerment, and national unity.
Olanrewaju noted that while many people celebrate in abundance, countless families continue to battle daily for access to basic meals, adding that no society can truly progress if vulnerable citizens are neglected.
He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond a birthday celebration, describing it as part of the foundation’s broader mission to promote equality, social responsibility, and peaceful coexistence across religious, ethnic, and social divides.
The founder further stated that leadership is best demonstrated through service to humanity, adding that the distribution of food packages symbolized not only support for the needy but also the spread of hope, dignity, and compassion.
He expressed appreciation to volunteers, partners, supporters, and well-wishers whose contributions and dedication made the outreach successful.
“Together, we are building a culture where birthdays and milestones become opportunities to uplift others and strengthen our communities,” he said.
As he begins a new year, Olanrewaju reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the reach and impact of the MD Foundation for Charity and National Integration, with a continued focus on empowering communities, promoting unity, and serving humanity selflessly.
The outreach has been widely commended by community members as an inspiring example of purposeful leadership and charitable service.
