••• Adeleke Wins Osun Governorship, Defeats APC With 511,067 Votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election after results from all 30 local government areas were collated.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Joshua, declared Adeleke the winner after the candidate secured 511,067 votes out of the 1,005,800 total votes cast.
According to the results announced by INEC, the Accord Party candidate defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem, came a distant third with 17,180 votes.
The final results are:
Accord – Ademola Adeleke: 511,067 votes
APC – Oyebamiji: 444,815 votes
ADC – Najeem: 17,180 votes
Declaring the result, the Returning Officer said Adeleke, having satisfied the requirements of the law, was duly elected and returned as Governor of Osun State.
The declaration was made on Sunday August 16, 2026, following the collation and declaration of results from all 30 local government areas of the state.
