A major shift in Africa’s fashion and entertainment landscape was announced on Friday as Fashion Fusion Africa officially rebranded to Fashion Fables Runway Africa (FFRA) in a relaunch event held in Abuja.
The unveiling ceremony took place at Philgal Empire Plaza in Wuse 2, Abuja where industry stakeholders, journalists, and creative professionals gathered to witness the transformation.
Speaking at the relaunch, the Convener, Obinna Obitaris, said the rebranding marks a strategic evolution aimed at strengthening the platform’s impact across the fashion and entertainment sectors.
He explained that the newly relaunched FFRA is designed to build a thriving ecosystem that promotes inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment among creative minds. According to him, the initiative will provide opportunities for designers, models, artists, and other industry players to grow, collaborate, and gain global visibility.
Obitaris emphasized that the transition from Fashion Fusion Africa to Fashion Fables Runway Africa reflects a broader vision of storytelling through fashion while fostering innovation and sustainable industry development.

He also expressed appreciation to key partners whose support made the relaunch possible, including Onomo Hotels, Afreximbank African Trade Centre, Nigerian Television Authority, and Nigerian Export Promotion Council, among others.
The convener noted that the collaboration with these organizations will further enhance FFRA’s mission to position Africa as a global hub for creative excellence.
The event concluded with renewed optimism among stakeholders, as FFRA sets out to redefine the future of fashion and entertainment across the continent.
