News Brief: ANNTV Reports
Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is expected to formally defect from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the African Democratic Congress on Monday, according to reports.
The planned defection, scheduled to take place in Kano, is anticipated to involve several members of the NNPP, following a directive from the Kwankwasiyya movement urging its supporters to align with the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a related development, Kwankwaso revealed via his official Facebook page that he recently paid a courtesy visit to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, at his Abuja residence. He described the meeting as “productive,” noting that discussions focused on building a united front to reposition the country.
