The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake, has called on Nigerians to harness the country’s vast mineral resources to create jobs, drive industrial development and build a more prosperous future.
Alake made the call in his Independence Day message to Nigerians as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
The Minister said Nigeria’s mineral wealth must be translated into tangible economic opportunities and shared prosperity, stressing the need for the sector to contribute more significantly to national development.
“Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. From our mineral wealth to shared prosperity, let us build a Nigeria where our resources create jobs, drive industry and power a brighter future,” Alake said.
He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to developing Nigeria’s solid minerals sector as a key driver of economic growth, industrialisation and sustainable development.
Alake said a stronger solid minerals sector would contribute to building a stronger economy and a brighter future for Nigerians.
“Stronger Economy. Stronger Solid Minerals. A Brighter Nigeria.” He stressed.
