As he marks his Diamond Jubilee, Alhaji Abubakar Saliu Damisa’s story reads like a blueprint for purposeful leadership in modern Nigeria.
Over more than two decades, he has carved out a distinguished career across the transport and logistics, oil and gas, banking and finance sectors—industries that form the backbone of economic growth and national development.
A seasoned top management executive, Damisa has built a reputation for transforming operational strategy into measurable performance. From optimizing logistics systems to shaping policy frameworks, from strengthening customer relationships to driving organizational change, his leadership style blends accountability with innovation.

A PhD candidate and chartered, licensed administrator, Damisa holds fellow and full memberships in several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Administration, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics, and the Institute of Shipping Technology.
His academic portfolio spans a Master’s degree in Public Administration, postgraduate diplomas in Management and in Transport & Logistics Management, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Administration, and international certifications in trade logistics, supply chain and warehouse management, and professional management.
