.. .Ex-NSITF Legal Services GM Denies Crisis Claims, Says Exit Was Voluntary

By| Goodluck E.Adubazi, Abuja

Former General Manager, Legal Services of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Mr. Innocent Eremionkhale, has dismissed reports linking his departure from the agency to an alleged crisis between staff members and the management of the Fund.

Eremionkhale issued a formal disclaimer in response to a Sahara Reporters publication which alleged that a wave of staff resignations at the NSITF was triggered by internal conflicts and dissatisfaction with the leadership of the organisation.

Reacting to the report, the former legal chief stated that his exit from the Fund was entirely voluntary and had no connection whatsoever with any disagreement or dispute involving the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, or the management team.

“I wish to respectfully clarify that I was not among any staff members who resigned from the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) as a result of any disagreement, dispute, conflict, or misunderstanding with the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer or the Management of the Fund,” he said.

According to Eremionkhale, he enjoyed a cordial and professional working relationship with the Fund’s leadership throughout his tenure and never had any conflict that could have influenced his decision to leave.

He explained that his departure was motivated by personal career aspirations, particularly his desire to return to private legal practice after several years in public service.

“My exit from the NSITF was entirely voluntary and was motivated by my personal career aspirations and desire to return to private legal practice after years of public service,” he stated.

The former General Manager further stressed that attempts to associate his resignation with allegations of managerial crisis, workplace disputes, or dissatisfaction with the leadership of the Fund were inaccurate and misleading.

He urged the public and media organisations to disregard any insinuations suggesting that his exit was linked to internal disagreements, maintaining that such reports do not reflect the true circumstances surrounding his departure.

Eremionkhale said the clarification became necessary to prevent the misrepresentation of facts and to set the record straight regarding his exit from the NSITF.

“This clarification is necessary to prevent any misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the facts,” he added.

The statement comes amid public discussions generated by reports alleging unrest and staff departures within the NSITF.

However, Eremionkhale’s response directly challenges claims that his resignation was connected to any internal crisis within the organisation.
