The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on corps members and staff across the country to reflect the core values of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and love as Christians mark the Easter season.
In an Easter message released by the NYSC Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the DG emphasized that the season serves as a powerful reminder of virtues that align closely with the mission and ideals of the Scheme.
Corps members were encouraged to embody these values in their daily conduct and interactions, reinforcing their identity as proud members of the NYSC family.
The message stressed the importance of sustaining commitment to national unity, selfless service, and mutual respect, especially in a diverse nation like Nigeria.
“Through our collective resolve and shared sense of purpose, we can further advance the cause of a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” the statement read.
The DG further expressed hope that the spirit of Easter would renew the strength of corps members and staff, deepen their dedication to service, and inspire a sense of fulfillment in their contributions to national development.
The message concluded with a rallying call underscoring patriotism and service: “Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve.”
The statement was signed by Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations.
Corps members nationwide are expected to continue their service activities during the holiday period while upholding the values highlighted in the Easter message.
