The Taraba State Government has honoured the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, with a Special Commemorative Medallion in recognition of her leadership and commitment to women, children and social development.
The presentation was made at the Government House Banquet Hall, Jalingo, during the 26th National Council on Women Affairs, Child Advancement and Social Development.
The honour was presented by the Taraba State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development in collaboration with the Legacy Gallery Project International Initiative.
The initiative, according to the organisers, was designed not merely as a ceremonial welcome for the Minister but as a lasting recognition of her contributions to the advancement of women and children, stronger families and inclusive social development.
The commemorative medallion was described as a symbol of respect for leadership, service and commitment to building a more inclusive Nigeria.
Speaking on the significance of the gesture, Convener of the Legacy Gallery Project International Initiative and Chief Executive Officer of Skillful Impressive Enterprises, Jerry Uruku Irimiya, said the presentation reflected the organisation’s philosophy of recognising worthy leadership and preserving significant national moments.
Irimiya said the project was committed to celebrating public service and creating lasting records of individuals whose contributions deserved to be remembered beyond the occasions at which they served.
He said the presentation to the Minister demonstrated how hospitality could be transformed into honour and appreciation into a lasting memory.
According to him, the occasion provided Taraba with an opportunity to celebrate a national leader whose portfolio directly impacts women, children, families and broader social development.
The Legacy Gallery Project noted that the Minister’s reception in Taraba was therefore more than a formal welcome, describing it as a moment worthy of remembrance and a reflection of the state’s appreciation for leadership and service.
The organisers welcomed Sulaiman-Ibrahim to Taraba and expressed optimism that her participation in the National Council would further advance discussions and policies aimed at improving the welfare of women, children and vulnerable groups across the country.
The presentation formed part of activities surrounding the 26th National Council on Women Affairs, Child Advancement and Social Development in Taraba State.
