As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators has called for strategic partnerships, institutional support and sustainable funding opportunities to strengthen its structures and grassroots engagements.

The Coalition made the call when its national executive members paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Assembly Library Trust Fund (NALTF) and Deputy Director of Protocols, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the National Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Richard M. Onyebuwa, used the visit to present the organisation’s vision and objectives while seeking guidance on building stronger relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Onyebuwa explained that the Coalition was established to provide a coordinated platform for APC support groups and their national coordinators to work together, strengthen grassroots structures and improve coordination among member organisations.
He said the Coalition was also seeking strategic partnerships that would enhance its capacity for grassroots mobilisation, leadership development and other programmes.
Responding, Nwawuba welcomed the delegation and commended its leadership for efforts to build a coordinated organisational structure.
He advised the Coalition to develop a credible and sustainable framework, stressing that strategic relationships and partnerships would be critical to achieving its objectives.
Nwawuba also discussed political activities surrounding the 2027 general elections and expressed support for efforts connected with the re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He specifically encouraged the Coalition to explore collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), chaired by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, saying cooperation among established support structures could create opportunities for greater coordination and organisational development.
The former legislator further advised the Coalition to identify legitimate and sustainable sources of funding to support its programmes and organisational activities.
Speaking during the visit, the National Director-General, Presidential Campaign Council, Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators, Hon. AlHassan Mohammed Baba, expressed appreciation to Nwawuba for receiving the delegation and providing what he described as valuable guidance.
Baba, who delivered the vote of thanks, said the advice and observations shared during the meeting would be carefully considered as the Coalition continues to develop its structures, programmes and relationships with relevant stakeholders.
He also appreciated Nwawuba for his time, hospitality and willingness to engage with the Coalition’s leadership.
The Coalition said the engagement formed part of its broader efforts to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and build a coordinated network of APC support-group leaders across the country ahead of the 2027 political season.
The meeting ended on a cordial note after Nwawuba requested a group photograph with the delegation before proceeding to other official engagements.
The Coalition said it would continue its engagements with relevant stakeholders as it develops its programmes, committees and grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections
