By: Goodluck E. Adubazi, Abuja.

As Nigeria’s 2026 political calendar shifts into high gear, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is moving aggressively to consolidate its position as a viable opposition force—placing youth power at the center of its strategy.
In a statement released this week, Hajiya Hassana Shuaibu Dada, Assistant National Youth Leader of the ADC for the North Central zone, announced a sweeping series of Youth Townhall Meetings across the region, signaling what party insiders describe as a decisive moment for grassroots political engagement.
“North Central youths, this is your call,” the statement read.
A REGIONAL TOUR WITH NATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
Organized through the Office of the Assistant National Youth Leader, the townhall meetings are designed to bring together youth leaders, party officials, coordinators, mobilizers, and support groups in a coordinated push toward political participation ahead of 2026.
The tour kicks off December 26, 2025, with two full days of engagement in each state, and an ambitious turnout target of 1,000 youths or more per state.

TOWNHALL SCHEDULE

Benue State: December 26–27, 2025
Plateau State: January 3–4, 2026
Nasarawa State: January 6–7, 2026
Kogi State: January 9–10, 2026
Kwara State: January 12–13, 2026
Niger State: January 15–16, 2026

With the Grand Finale slated to hold at the
Federal Capital Territory (Abuja): January 19, 2026

ADC leaders say the townhalls will focus on youth inclusion, political education, party organization, and building a unified regional voice capable of influencing national outcomes. “Your Voice Matters”.

With the final gathering set for Abuja, the party is clearly aiming to translate regional momentum into national relevance.

ADC North Central Youth Townhall Meetings are being framed not just as events—but as a statement.
The future, the party says, starts now.
