The African Democratic Congress (ADC – New media ) has called on Nigerians, particularly young people, to embrace unity, hope, and active civic participation as the nation celebrates Christmas.

In a Christmas message released on Wednesday, Queen Nkechi Okiyi, Deputy National Publicity Secretary (New Media) of the ADC, extended warm wishes to Nigerians across the country, urging citizens to reflect on the values of love, peace, and national cohesion.
“May the spirit of love, peace, and unity fill every heart and home across the nation,” Okiyi said. “May this festive season bring hope, happiness, and prosperity to all, and may the New Year usher in greater opportunities for growth and development.”
Addressing Nigerian youths specifically, Okiyi emphasized the role of young people in shaping the country’s future, describing their voices and actions as essential to national progress.
“This season reminds us that change is driven by courage, unity, and active participation,” she said. “As young people, our ideas and engagement remain vital in building a Nigeria that works for everyone.”
She added that the Christmas season should strengthen citizens’ resolve to demand good governance, promote inclusion, and work toward a nation founded on justice, opportunity, and shared prosperity.
Okiyi concluded by wishing Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a New Year marked by purpose, impact, and positive change.
