On January 2nd, 2026, Dr. Regina Duru, National Coordinator of the Regy and Henry Amazing Grace Foundation (RHAGF), will deliver a crucial paper addressing the alarming rise of drug abuse among youth in Nigeria.

The presentation will take place in Obinri Village, Oraeri Town, Aguata Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State.
Dr. Duru’s paper, which highlights the inherent dangers of drug use among young people, promises to shed light on the deepening crisis and the urgent need for comprehensive intervention. The presentation will explore the far-reaching consequences of substance abuse on youth, including its psychological, social, and economic impacts.

The event is expected to draw key community leaders, health experts, and local organizations, all of whom are determined to find actionable solutions to this growing problem. Dr. Duru’s work with RHAGF has long focused on creating awareness, supporting rehabilitation programs, and advocating for youth-centric prevention measures.

As Nigeria grapples with a surge in youth drug abuse, the paper’s release is expected to fuel important conversations on the role of local communities, healthcare systems, and government policies in addressing the crisis.

Stay tuned for coverage as this important discussion unfolds on January 2nd.
