The Chief Executive Officer of the Irene Ezekwe Empowerment Foundation, Ambassador Irene Chukwunonso Ezekwe, has formally declared her support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, citing what she described as the administration’s bold economic reforms, infrastructure development, and commitment to national growth.
The declaration was made on Thursday in Abuja during the official flag-off ceremony recognizing the Irene Ezekwe Empowerment Foundation as a support group under the Tinubu Support Group network.

Addressing dignitaries, stakeholders, and supporters at the event held at the Tinubu Support Group Headquarters, Ambassador Ezekwe said her foundation’s endorsement of President Tinubu was based on the administration’s efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy and create opportunities for citizens through various reforms and intervention programmes.
According to her, the Irene Ezekwe Empowerment Foundation, which has empowered thousands of Nigerians across several states through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship support, and community development initiatives, shares the vision of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Today is not only a celebration of our collective commitment to service, empowerment, and national development, but also an opportunity to reaffirm our support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she stated.
Ambassador Ezekwe praised the President for implementing policies aimed at strengthening the nation’s economy, attracting investment, improving infrastructure, and expanding opportunities for youths and women.
She highlighted several achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidy, introduction of a ₦70,000 minimum wage, establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), expansion of broadband connectivity across the country, revitalization of primary healthcare centres, and major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

Other achievements she listed included increased foreign investment commitments, support for agriculture through the National Agricultural Fund, development of compressed natural gas (CNG) transportation initiatives, efforts to revive government-owned refineries, and measures aimed at enhancing security and local government autonomy.
The foundation’s CEO noted that while there are hundreds of achievements credited to the administration, the examples cited demonstrated the government’s determination to build a stronger and more resilient economy for future generations.
She further emphasized that the Irene Ezekwe Empowerment Foundation would continue to support community development, women and youth empowerment, and grassroots initiatives that complement government efforts.
“As we officially launch this movement today, I urge every member and stakeholder to remain committed to the ideals of service, unity, peace, and progress.
Together, we will mobilize support across the 36 States including FCT for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for good governance, empower our communities, and contribute meaningfully to the realization of a greater Nigeria,” she said.

Ambassador Ezekwe also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Tinubu Support Group and the “Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria” movement for recognizing the foundation and partnering with it in advancing empowerment and development initiatives nationwide.
The event marked the formal entry of the Irene Ezekwe Empowerment Foundation into the growing network of groups supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 political season.

Tinubu Support group, DG, Dr. Tanko Yakasai commended Ambassador Irene Chukwunonso for coming out boldly to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu second term bid with her NGO Irene Empowerment foundation.
