In a move signaling the intensification of the 2027 political race for the Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, frontline aspirant Hon. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke (PhD), popularly known as AIA, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, officially submitted her nomination forms at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Headquarters in Abuja.

The submission follows her formal purchase of nomination forms on Thursday, May 7, 2026, under the platform of the ADC, positioning her among the leading contenders seeking to represent the people of Okehi and Adavi Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

Committed for “Purposeful Representation,” Adoke pledged to champion sustainable development, equity, accountability, transparency, and people-focused governance if she make it to the Green Chamber.

Known among supporters for her calm disposition, disciplined leadership style, and results-driven approach, the aspirant said her ambition is rooted in a desire to redefine representative democracy through inclusive leadership and measurable community impact.

“Our people deserve responsive and people-centered representation that delivers opportunities, development, and lasting economic progress,” Adoke told supporters after completing the submission process in Abuja on Tuesday.

Under her campaign mantra, “AIA Vision 2027: Creating Wealth, Building Communities,” the House of Representatives hopeful outlined plans centered on industrialization, job creation, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic growth across the constituency.

She also emphasized her commitment to strengthening the voice of Okehi/Adavi at the National Assembly through effective legislation, constituency engagement, and transparent leadership.

Many point to Adoke’s extensive public and private sector experience as a major asset in the race. Before entering partisan politics, she served on the Boards of several reputable organizations and rose through the ranks of the Abuja civil service to become a director.

She later served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kogi Investment and Property Limited (KIPL), where she spent seven years overseeing reforms credited with reviving moribund industries and attracting investment opportunities within Kogi State.

Supporters say her technocratic background and administrative experience could reshape the political landscape of Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As momentum builds around her candidacy, Adoke has continued to frame her campaign as a movement focused on responsive governance, economic empowerment, and rebuilding public trust through accountable leadership.
