Tributes have continued to pour in for a veteran Kogi politician and former Managing Director of Kogi Investment and Property Limited, Hon. Moses Okino, as he marks his 78th birthday.

Among those celebrating the political elder is the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency House of Representatives hopeful, Hon. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke (AIA) PhD, who described Okino as a trustworthy son of Kogi State, a political pathfinder and a man worthy of emulation.
Adoke, in her tribute, recalled her early days at the Kogi Investment and Property Limited, particularly when she was appointed to head the organisation. She said Okino demonstrated uncommon confidence in her capacity and quietly offered the support she needed to succeed.
According to her, Okino’s character became evident during a telephone conversation in which he urged those around him to give her maximum support and ensure she had access to the necessary information to discharge her responsibilities effectively.
“Recalling Okino’s words: he called one of the senior staff members, not knowing, the Senior staff member was sitting right in front of me, the phone rang, and when she answered, it was on speaker.
He instructed her to give 100 per cent and provide all the necessary information and support required to enable Hon. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke, AIA, PhD, to succeed in the job.
This gesture has, in no small measure, contributed to laying a solid foundation for my developmental success at Kogi Investment and Property Limited (KIPL)”, Aisha recalled.
For Adoke, the statement was more than a compliment; it was a reflection of Okino’s leadership philosophy and his willingness to support people he believed were capable of making a positive difference.
She also reflected on the formative years of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), where she worked closely with Okino as a member of the party’s reconciliation committee.
According to her, their experience during the period further strengthened her appreciation of Okino’s straightforwardness, fairness and commitment to resolving political differences.
Adoke said Okino’s ability to maintain his principles while engaging with people across political divides had distinguished him as a respected figure in Kogi’s political landscape.
She described the celebrant as a political pathfinder whose contributions and personal values continue to provide lessons for younger politicians and public figures.
As he clocks 78, Adoke prayed for God to grant Okino many more years in good health, strength and fulfilment.
She wished the veteran politician a happy 78th birthday, while celebrating what she described as a life of service, integrity, mentorship and commitment to the development of Kogi State.
“Happy 78th birthday to a trustworthy son of Kogi State, a pathfinder and a worthy example to younger generations. May God grant you long life, sound health and many more years of impactful service,” she said.
