The Regy and Henry Amazing Grace Foundation (RHAGF) has received overwhelming support from the traditional leadership of Gbuduwyi Community in Kabusa, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), following a community mapping exercise conducted ahead of its proposed three-week Free Skill Acquisition Programme scheduled to begin on August 3, 2026.
The exercise, carried out on Tuesday, July 8, was aimed at introducing the Foundation to community leaders, assessing the socio-economic needs of residents, and evaluating the community’s readiness to participate in the empowerment initiative.
The Foundation’s delegation first paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Mai Anguwa of Gbuduwyi Community, Mr. Isuwa Damba, in keeping with the community’s traditional protocol.
During the visit, RHAGF representatives presented the Foundation’s vision and outlined plans for the free vocational training programme designed to equip women, youths, and other community members with practical skills at no cost.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Damba commended the Foundation for selecting Gbuduwyi Community for the intervention, describing the initiative as both timely and impactful. He pledged his full support and assured the team that community members would be mobilized to participate actively throughout the programme.
The delegation later visited the palace of the District Head (Hakimu) of Kabusa, Alhaji Zawa Zafunuzhibo John. Although the Hakimu was away at the time of the visit, the Foundation was warmly received by traditional chiefs, elders, and palace officials.
The Foundation’s letter of introduction was officially received by Mr. Solomon Jezhi, the Santali of Kabusa, while the palace’s response was delivered by Mr. Diko Akuko, the Bakachi of Kabusa, on behalf of the District Head.
Mr. Akuko praised RHAGF for bringing free skills acquisition opportunities to the community, noting that the initiative would positively impact numerous households.
He announced the palace’s full endorsement of the programme and assured the Foundation of the traditional council’s complete cooperation.
According to him, the palace would assist in mobilizing participants, provide a suitable training venue, facilitate the provision of canopies and chairs where necessary, and support security arrangements throughout the programme.
He also highlighted Gbuduwyi’s large population, expressing confidence that the intervention would benefit many residents and contribute to the community’s socio-economic development.

Observations from the community mapping exercise revealed strong enthusiasm and widespread acceptance of the proposed programme. Traditional leaders and key stakeholders demonstrated a clear willingness to partner with the Foundation, reflecting an organized leadership structure committed to community development.
The Foundation concluded that Gbuduwyi Community is fully prepared for the implementation of the three-week Free Skill Acquisition Programme, having secured the endorsement and cooperation of both the Mai Anguwa and the District Head’s traditional council.
With commitments for community mobilization, logistical support, venue provision, and security now in place, preparations are set to continue ahead of the programme’s official commencement on August 3, 2026.
The initiative is expected to provide practical vocational training and create new opportunities for women, youths, and other residents, further contributing to sustainable community development in Gbuduwyi.
