As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, a House of Representatives hopeful for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Aisha Ibrahim Adoke (AIA), has begun high-level consultations with key stakeholders, signaling what Friends of Africa and Nigeria for Good governance (FOAN) describe as a renewed political direction for the constituency.
Dr. Adoke, widely recognized for her track record in both public service and the private sector, is positioning herself as a candidate focused on administrative competence and economic development.
She pledged to leverage her extensive experience as an administrator and international business investor to drive progress and deliver effective representation.
In what could mark a historic moment for the constituency, Dr. Adoke is seeking to become the first female representative of Adavi/Okehi at the National Assembly. She emphasized her readiness to address years of what she described as maladministration and to usher in a new era of inclusive governance at the Green Chamber.

As part of her ongoing consultations, Dr. Adoke this week met with prominent political figures, including Hon. Idris Abdulazeez, a respected political figure in the region, and Hon. Ismaila Haruna, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Youth Coordinator in Kogi State.
Political analysts note that her engagements with influential stakeholders may shape the emerging dynamics in the Adavi/Okehi constituency as the 2027 elections approach.
