It was a colourful celebration of academic excellence, character development and hope for the future as Perfect Soundness Nursery and Primary School held its End-of-Session Graduation and Prize-Giving Ceremony on Friday, July 10, 2026.

The event brought together parents, teachers, pupils, education stakeholders and guests who celebrated the achievements of graduating pupils while emphasizing the importance of nurturing children to become responsible future leaders.

Delivering the welcome address, the school’s Head Girl, Esther Okafor, described the occasion as a moment of celebration, appreciation and achievement.

She said the ceremony was not only the end of another academic session but also the beginning of greater opportunities for the graduating pupils.

According to her, “Every ending is a new beginning,” urging parents and guests to celebrate the talents, accomplishments and excellence displayed by the pupils throughout the programme.
In a sermon, Pastor Samuel Nyitamen charged parents and pupils to embrace knowledge, describing it as the foundation of success and personal development.

Quoting from Genesis 1:28 and Psalm 119:130, he said knowledge empowers individuals, while wisdom and understanding position people ahead in life.
He advised parents to encourage children to learn continuously and avoid envy, stressing that success comes through learning, discipline and mentorship.
The cleric also reminded parents that every child possesses enormous potential which must be properly nurtured.
He expressed confidence that with the right guidance, today’s pupils would become tomorrow’s doctors, lawyers, engineers, governors, lawmakers, entrepreneurs and national leaders.
Pastor Nyitamen offered prayers for the graduating pupils, declaring God’s blessings upon their lives and praying for divine protection and success in their future endeavours.

Speaking on the theme, “The Future Lies With Us,” education consultant Joy Adobe of JEM Consult said every child represents the future of society and called on parents to deliberately build strong family values.
She stressed that education begins at home before it is reinforced in school.

According to her, children learn primarily through imitation and repetition, making parents the first and most influential teachers.
She lamented the declining moral values in many homes, warning that the pursuit of wealth should never replace the responsibility of raising children with integrity, discipline and good character.
Adobe noted that every child is “an adult under construction,” explaining that the attitudes, language and behaviour children observe at home become the building blocks of their future.
She urged parents to re-evaluate their family values, create positive learning environments and intentionally model the behaviours they expect from their children.
Addressing the graduating pupils, she encouraged them to remain confident in their abilities, reminding them that they could achieve excellence through determination, hard work and self-belief.
Parents at the event commended the school for its commitment to quality education and character formation.

One of the parents, Samson Enemona, praised the school’s practical learning approach, saying its hands-on teaching methods enable children to discover and develop their God-given talents.
He described Perfect Soundness Nursery and Primary School as an institution that provides a conducive environment for pupils to grow academically, morally and socially.

Another parent, Lydia Gabriel, expressed satisfaction with the school’s impact on her children.
She said the institution had played a significant role in their academic, social and spiritual development, adding that she had no regrets enrolling them in the school.
Gabriel commended the teachers for their dedication, care and commitment to raising well-rounded children.

Speaking with journalists, one of the school’s directors, Mrs. Favour Nyitamen, said the institution was established on October 5, 2020, with a vision to raise children who are both academically excellent and spiritually grounded.

She explained that the school was founded to nurture godly children equipped with sound moral values in addition to quality education.
According to her, Perfect Soundness Nursery and Primary School remains committed to producing pupils who excel intellectually while demonstrating integrity, discipline and the fear of God.

The ceremony featured cultural performances, drama presentations, musical displays, prize presentations and the graduation of pupils to higher classes, with parents and guests applauding the outstanding performances that highlighted the pupils’ talents and academic growth.
